Those who see themselves as low are the ones who are spiritually elevated — their humility raises them.

Those who consider themselves the dust of all feet are the ones honoured in the divine court.

Like the humble earth brings down rain from the clouds similarly one’s humility brings divine love and blessings.

Those humble devotes consider themselves flawed and lowly.

They speak of the Guru with their mouths, but don’t follow his principles and give Him a place in their hearts.

Those who accept gods will under all circumstances are true kings.

Those who constantly chase wealth go door to door and remain in distress.

They cry out in the longing for the Guru — that burning love purifies them.

Sadhu Prem De Vich Oh Rathe, Rang Masti Da Chadan
Immersed in the Sadhu’s love, they are coloured in divine intoxication.

Kaya Rangan Prem Di Masti, Sadhu Preeta Layia
Their entire being is dyed in the colour of love through connection with the Sadhu.

The True guru/god speaks within the sikh.
