Only the True Guru can reveal that radiant face,
Without the Guru, who can show the way to grace?

Butta wali khed vich paye duniya,
Amar kaya sari phul gaye duniya
Trapped in the game of flesh and form,
The world forgot the eternal spirit’s warm.

Joban tai jar dovai veri sakhiye,
Ina pichai phul dukho dukh khatiye
Youth and wealth—oh friend, both deceive,
Chasing them, only sorrow you receive.

Phula vangoo sukh pukh gaye duniya,
Amar kaya sari phul gaye duniya
Like wilted flowers, joy and peace have died,
The world forgot what’s living deep inside.
